Siperox®BPO is one of the most commonly used free radical initiators, a common initiator of acrylates, and a very important initiator for styrene and styrene copolymers. It can be combined with the initiator tert-butyl peroxybenzoate (Siperox® -TBPB) for compound use. It can be used as a medium and low temperature curing agent for unsaturated polyester. It is also a vulcanizing agent for diene rubber, an important flour bleaching agent and a decolorizing agent for vegetable oils.
